Previous Daily Devotional About the greatness of our life in Christ… Psalm 30:2 O Lord my God, I cried unto thee, and thou hast healed me. 3 O Lord, thou hast brought up my soul from the grave: thou hast kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit. Jonah 2:7 When my soul fainted within me I remembered the Lord: and my prayer came in unto thee, into thine holy temple. Many people in the world have a miserable life. However, in our misery in the world, we have a Lord, a caring being of love, who hears our every cry. We have a caring being of love who hears our every prayer when our soul faints within us because we are overwhelmed by our circumstances. We have a healing God. We have a God who touches our soul and who rescues us from the darkness of our future. We have a Messiah named Jesus who gives us eternal life. Christ has not given us an eternal life like the life we have now. No! The life given to us by Christ is a life in paradise where there is no misery, no pain, nor sorrow. In our misery of today, we can look and see over the horizon to a land of peace, joy, and infinite happiness. Because Christ died for us, we are people of hope. Because Christ died for us, we are people who have found His power to persevere and love in every circumstance. We are people who live a great life.
