Previous Christmas Daily Devotional About being a kid again all year long… 2 Corinthians 4:16 Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. (NIV) Christmas can make us feel like a kid again. Christmas can also make us feel incredibly old. When we are young, all of our days are in front of us. Our vision for the future is unlimited. We think we will live forever, although we know we will not. Charm, excitement, and enchantment can rule the day when we are young or young at heart. Being a kid again all year long is a matter of the heart, not of the body. Being a kid again means we see our future as unlimited. Being a kid again means we look upon the future with trust and hope. What we must remember when we visit Christ in the manger is how we all have eternal youth just ahead. Someday we will be young again in the body and soul forever. The next time we are young again, we will never be sick, never make mistakes, never have worries, and never have doubts. We will work and never grow tired. We will run and never grow weary. Of all the gifts you could ever receive in your life, being a kid again forever and ever is the greatest gift of all.
