A Prayer About Righteousness And Rewards

Most Precious Lord Jesus, Gentle And Wonderful God, Truly Awesome And Ever-present Holy Spirit
Precious Lord Jesus, I love you.
Today there are many people giving prophecies in your name.
Many of these prophecies have not come true in the time the prophets claimed the events would occur.
There is something exciting, perhaps even glamorous about being a prophet and getting the attention of a prophet.
However, there are better things for me and better things for others to think about than dark prophecies of the future.
In your heart, I know you want all persons to be righteous or right living.
In your word, you tell us we receive a righteous man's reward when we welcome a righteous man.
Instead of being too concerned about the future, help all of us be concerned for others.
Instead of being too concerned about the future, help all of us be concerned about the welfare of the church.
When we wish to have a reward, lead all of us to reach out to the poor, the downtrodden, and the little ones.
Rather than spending too much of our time being concerned about the future, lead all of us to build for the future by being kind, caring, understanding, and loving to the poor, to the downtrodden, and the little ones
When we speak, lead us to speak your words.
When we reach out to heal, lead us to reach out as you would reach out.
All these things I humbly pray in the name of my most Blessed Lord Jesus Christ, my Mighty God, and my Ever-present Holy Spirit upon whom I can rely.
