A Prayer For Recommitment To Christ

Precious Lord Jesus, I recommit my life to you.
I recommit my life to you because you keep calling me to your side.
O, Lord Jesus, I so often fail you.
Precious Lord, I am weak and I fall down but I cannot change on my own.
Yet, even in my falling down, I can hear your tender voice calling me to come back to you.
In the times of my life when I have turned away from you and I seek to live just for myself, I can feel the gentle nudge upon my heart to come near you again.
I am grieved Lord.
I am grieved for I turned away from you and I did not think about you.
I walked away from you because I thought of myself and my needs before I thought of you.
Now, I recommit my life to you because you still love me, even when I have turned away from you.
Now, I recommit my life to you because you forgive me so quickly I can hardly say I am sorry before I feel your arms wrapped around me in forgiving love.
To you I give all praise, honor, and glory.
