Of Faith About Speaking To God About Repentance You
have fallen down and you have been bruised. You
have made grievous mistakes. You
have committed sins and wrongs. In
all this you are sorry. You
would undo what you have done but you cannot. You
are sorry you went astray. You
are sorry for the hurt you unleashed upon the world and upon others. Instead
of love in your heart, there was bitterness. And
you are sorry. When
you repented, Christ forgave you. Even
when you did not deserve His favor, Christ touched your heart to make you new
and whole, bringing about your rebirth. Even
when you turned your back upon Christ, He never turned His back upon you. You
went your own way and you did not think about Christ the Lord but He was loving
and patient with you. You
thought too often about your own wants and needs instead of what Christ wanted
and needed from you. With
Christ's help, you began to change. Praise
His name. Amen. |
